Many Indian computer users would want to send e-mails and other text in their own native languages, using Baraha 8.0 you can perform this task with ease. Baraha is a freeware utility which can be used to type many of the Indian languages using Standard English keyboard.

Baraha supports Kannada, Devanagari (Hindi, Marathi etc.), Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Gujarati, Gurumukhi, Bengali, and Oriya scripts.

Baraha enables the user to type in their native language using English keyboard, just type in English the way it sounds in their native language. Baraha 8.0 will automatically convert it and the text appears in the native language. For example, type meRa bhArat mahAn and this text automatically will appear in the native language.

Using Baraha is very easy: just install the application, install Windows keyboards for Indian languages and enable Indian languages in Windows. Now you can type and send e-mails in your native language to your family and friends or post content on your web site in the native language. By installing Baraha Unicode fonts, you can create MS office documents in Indian languages.

You have to enable Indian languages in Windows to view Indian language text in Windows. For enabling Indian languages, follow these instructions.

• Open Control Panel window by clicking on start–> settings –> Control Panel
• In the Control Panel window double click Regional and Languages Options and check Install files complex script and right-to-left languages (including Thai)
• Now, click on Details button, a new dialog box opens in that click on Add button and add required language to finish the process click on OK button.

You can switch between languages to type using special keyboard shortcuts. For example, you are typing in English and that you want to type in Telugu you can do it by switching languages.

Quillpad is an online tool that enables users to type in various Indian languages very easily. There is no need of downloading the software and no need installation is required. Just like Baraha, type the text in English as it sounds in the native language, Quillpad will automatically convert the text into native language.

After opening Quillpad, you can select the language by clicking on the tab’s present at the top. Each tab represents a language. You can send emails directly for this site or save the document on to the disk top or Print the document directly.
