How to transfer/sync iPhone iCloud calendar to android phone/tablet


If you got a new android phone or you want to keep up with your boss’s iCloud calendar on your android phone, You can easily transfer or sync iCloud calendars to your android phone or tablet.

If you have your calendars on your iOS device like iPhone, iPad or iPod, You most probably have your calendars in iCloud. You can sync your work, personal calendars etc between iCloud and android phone or tablet. This might be useful If your family has android phone and iPhone etc.

How to transfer/sync iPhone/iCloud calendars to android phone/tablet via CalDev
1. If you know your calendars are in iCloud, Skip this step.

If you are not sure, You can go to iCloud on your computer using browser to check it. Login with your Apple ID and password. Go to Calendar. You should see your Calendars there. If you don’t see your Calendars here, you can sync iPhone/iPad Calendars to iCloud by turning on iCloud on your iOS device. On your iOS device, Go to Settings > iCloud > Turn on iCloud. You may also need to turn on Calendars under iCloud settings. Your Calendars will be synced to iCloud.

2. Download & Install android app SmoothSync for Cloud Calendar on your android phone or tablet. It costs $2.86

3. Open android app and enter your Apple ID, password. You can select which calendars you want to sync and app creates these calendars on your android device and keeps them in sync.

4. You can add multiple iCloud accounts or multiple calendars per account. It also sync alarms. It has two way sync to sync changes you make in android to iCloud.

If you are on Jelly Bean 4.1, You may need to install another free android app not to remove accounts on reboot. This is a bug in Jelly Bean 4.1. You don’t need this app If you are on Jelly Bean 4.2

Using this app, You can transfer calendars from iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad, iPad Mini, iPod etc to any android device like Samsung Galaxy S3, S2, Note 2, S4, HTC One X, Sony Xperia Z, LG Optimus Pro G, Nexus 4, Nexus 7, Samsung Tab 2 etc.
