How to transfer contacts/sms/media from Galaxy S2/S3/S4 to Galaxy S3/S4/Note via NFC without Kies


If you are a loyal Samsung user, You might have got a new Galaxy S3, S4 or Note 2/3 etc. If your old phone is Galaxy S2/S3/S4/Note etc, You can transfer contacts. messages, calendar, photos, videos etc easily to your new Galaxy Phone without using Computer or Kies.

You can transfer data from old phone to new Galaxy Phone using Samsung Kies Software. This requires using your Computer and downloading Kies. What If you can transfer contacts, data using NFC just using your phones. Galaxy phones have either NFC or WiFi Direct. You can use these transfer data between the phones. Your old Galaxy phone needs have at least Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 or Jelly Bean.

How to Transfer Contacts/SMS/Videos/Photos from Galaxy S2/S3/S4/Note to S3/S4/Note/Note 2 via NFC or WiFi Direct

1. Download & Install Samsung Smart Switch Mobile android app from Google Play Store on both old & new Galaxy Phones.

2. Open the app on both phones and Place phones back to back and touch screen on one of the phones.

3. Select the data you want to transfer from old Galaxy to new Galaxy. You can select Contacts, Calendar, Messages, Wall Papers, Photos, Music, Videos, Documents etc.

4. Tap on Transfer to start the transfer process. Thats it. Your data is available on the new Galaxy phone.

You can use this method for Samsung Galaxy S2, S3, S4, Note, Note 2, Note 3 etc. You can’t transfer MMS for now using this app.
