With the introduction of Credit Card, you can use this virtual money to shop at regular stores and online stores. There are many situations where online stores have changed more than double the amount of actual item price to their consumers. Calculate taxes and other charges like shipping, etc., before you finalize any order and make payment. Most of the sites offer you to provide free shipping during holidays to promote their sales. This might also be a trick to trap consumers in the scam, if there is a physical store of the online store is present near to you. It is better to take your delivery from the physical store itself, this way you can have a good idea about the item and its nature of presence, taxes and price information.

5) Read and understand the privacy policy

It is been a common practice for most of the consumers to check or accept terms and conditions or privacy policy without even having a look at the document. Even if you are been scammed by a site and can provide all the proof’s like your credit card statement, shipping details, bills, etc.

  • Never accept terms and conditions or privacy policy without reading the documents.

Your petition can be rejected saying that the shop has already mentioned about the consequences in the terms and conditions or privacy policy on their site.
