I recently got Samsung Galaxy S2. It is a really cool phone. I can play Angry Birds on big screen . One of the main problems with this phone is battery drains quickly. It lasts about couple of hours only with few settings on. My iPhone used to last couple of days easily. You know, I don’t want to charge my phone daily.

If you are surfing a lot on your phone, or watching videos, it is understandable to have battery drainage. If I don’t do anything on the phone, it lasts couple of hours. It is wifi connection on my phone. If you have wifi turned on all the time, battery drains quickly. I have other features like GPS, Bluetooth turned off already.

You need to turn off wifi & turn it on when you want to use it.

Other tips to extend battery life of samsung galaxy s2:

1. Turn off other features like GPS, Bluetooth. Turn them on when you need them
2. Decrease Screen brightness so that it won’t use much battery
3.You can find what is using most battery on your phone. Go to “Settings” -> “About Phone” -> “Battery Usage” to check it.

4.You can change Screen Timeout so that screen is turned off automatically as soon as you are done
5.Power Saving Mode: Go to “Settings” -> “Power Saving Mode”.
You can enable Power Saving Mode to save power automatically when battery reaches certain level. You can set it to turn off Wifi, GPS etc as soon as battery reaches 50% level etc
