You may want to take screenshot of your new Windows 8 or Windows RT tablet screen for sharing with your friends. Taking screenshot is easy. You don’t need to root or install complex software just for taking screenshot. Taking screenshot is similar to other tablets like iPad or Nexus 7 tablets.
How to take screenshot on Windows RT or Windows 8 Tablet like Surface
1. Press and hold Windows Home and Volume down buttons at the same time.
2. You will see screen gets dimmed and screenshot is taken.
3. Screenshot is saved under Screenshots folder in the Photos app. You can access the screenshot by opening Photos App.
This is mostly same as on android & iOS devices. If you want to share the saved screenshot, Tap on the saved screenshot, swipe from right side of the screen to get Charms bar and tap on the Share.
This method should work for most Windows 8 or Windows RT tablets including Surface, Asus VivoTab, Ativ etc

Thought I would comment because I had been searching a long time my self to find out how to do this. **press and HOLD the windows button** then press the volume down button. Screen will dim. You will find your photo in the photo app. that came with your tab. >Asus Vivotab<
