After a long wait finally Sony has launched the new Sony VAIO W-series Netbook in India. This ultra-light Netbook weighs just 1.2 Kgs and features 10.1 inch widescreen display and 1.66 GHz Intel Atom ULV processor, 1 GB DDR2 RAM, multiple connectivity options and comes with Windows Vista Home Basic Edition preinstalled.

The new Sony VAIO W-Series Netbook has great looks and is available in three different colors white, brown and pink. Light weight and small form factor of this laptop makes it ideal to use in any place like when travelling in bus, train or airplane. This laptop features advanced technology which ensures that there is minimum power consumption and very little loss.

Sony VAIO W-series is powered by new Intel Atom ULV N280 processor which is very small and uses a revolutionary design structure that packs 47 million transistors into a chip which is 22 mm in size. This processor uses only 2.5 watts of powers which is just 1/10th of normal processors power usage. It still provides all most the same processing power to perform all the tasks on this notebook.

It also features 1 GB DDR2 SD RAM, combined with the processing speed this notebook is ready fulfill all your entertainment, internet and productivity needs. It sports new Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology which will reduce the power consumption such that you can work on batteries for more time. It will forcibly reduce the performance of the processor when the battery enters low power state.

The screen has a maximum resolution of 1368 x 768 pixels and it is powered by Intel GMA 950 with up to 256 MB of dedicated video memory. It also features Intel High Definition Audio Sound System which gives you high definition quality sound output when connected to external speakers. This laptop features 160 GB SATA Hard Disk Drive that rotates at 5400 RPM so you can store many of your multimedia collection and projects on the disk.
