How to setup Microsoft Exchange Email account on android Nexus 7

Is your company using Microsoft Exchange? You use Microsoft outlook client on your computer to send & receive emails. You can check your email, send & receive emails on your android phone or tablet like Nexus 7.

It is easy to setup exchange email account on your android device. For most types email accounts, android gets required information automatically if you specify your exchange server username & password.

How to setup exchange email account on android
1. Go to Apps > Email > Setup email screen. If you already setup email account like Yahoo mail or Hotmail, You can add another email account. Go to Apps > Email > Menu > Settings > Add new email account

2. Enter your exchange full username including domain name & password. Ex: user@yourcompany.com & password

3. Tap Next to automatically retrieve incoming & outgoing mail server settings. That should be it. You are ready to view & send your email. But sometimes you may get an error saying “Failed to search Exchange server automatically. Enter settings manually”. or “Couldn’t connect to exchange server”

Tap Edit details to change or enter exchange server address. If you access your exchange email via browser or exchange web, you can enter the address (just domain name) here. Ex: mail.yourcompany.com etc

That should resolve to correct exchange server & you should be ready to read, send, receive emails on your android device. This method is same for any android device including Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S3, Samsung Tab, Samsung Note 10.1 or Droid Razr, HTC One X etc
