Do you want to remotely access your computer over internet via android device like Nexus 7 or android phones? How about surfing your computer from your couch? Do you want to access a file you forgot to copy to your tablet? Yes, you can access computer or mac wirelessly from Nexus 7 or Galaxy S3, S2 etc.

Pocket Cloud Remote RDP/VNC is free android application. You can connect to computer or mac using this android app easily from any android devices like Nexus 7 or Samsung Tab 2 etc.

The best thing I like about it is, You don’t need to configure RDP or VNC on your computer if you don’t want to. It has Auto Discovery mode. You can access laptop or computer via WiFi or 3G or 4G LTE.

Procedure to setup remote desktop on your android device like Nexus 7
1. Dowload & Install PocketCloud Companion on your Windows PC or Mac OS.

2. Set it up using Google Account username/password for Auto Discovery. You can create new Google account if you don’t want to use your existing Google account.

3. Download Pocket Cloud Remote RDP / VNC android app on your android tablet or phone. Use the same above Google account to login to the app.
4. Thats it. You should be able to view your computer and remote control it now. You can also control mouse, keyboard etc.

If you don’t want to use Pocket Cloud companion, you can set up RDP or VNC on your computer. Windows Home Editions don’t have RDP. You need to install free VNC applications like RealVNC or TightVNC etc. You can access linux computers also remotely using VNC.

Pocket Cloud free version allows you to connect to 1 computer only. If you want to access more than one computer, you need to buy pro version for $14.99.

You can access Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Mac OS X, VM Ware, Linux computers remotely. It works on android version later than 2.1 including Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean.

You can also access PC from android devices without remote desktop app via WiFi or Bluetooth. If you have a spare computer or laptop thats connected to TV, you can watch YouTube videos, Facebook or movies directly on your big screen TV controlling access via Nexus 7 or any android phone like Galaxy S2, S3 etc.
