Windows 8 has lot of changes. It takes some time to get used to it. If you are looking to add a printer or just print from any app like email, map directions etc, It takes few extra steps to get to it.
If you are in Windows 8 desktop mode, It works the same way as Windows 7. You can just print from file menu or right clicking & selecting Print option etc. You can change your Windows 8 Start Menu or Start button to classic Windows start menu to get to “Control Panel”, “Devices and Printers” etc.
How to Print from Windows 8 app like email
1. Swipe from right end of the screen. If you are using mouse, move mouse to top right corner to get Charms bar and select Devices. Thats it. You should see your Printers there. If you are on Windows 8 laptop or desktop, You can try short cut Ctrl + P to get to the available Printers.

If you don’t have any printers, You can add Printers easily.
How to add Printer in Windows 8
1. If you have USB Printer, Windows 8 should install drivers as soon as you plug in the Printer USB cable for first time.
2. Go to Charms Bar by swiping from right end of screen. Tap on Search > Select “Settings” > search for “print”. You will see Results for Print. You can add a printer or shared printer. You can also go to Advanced Printer Setup to search for available printers. You can also add Printer manually here If you know the name.
