How to print from android Nexus 7/Galaxy S2/S3 via wifi/bluetooth/usb

It’s been always easy to print from your computer except when setting up your printer for the first time with the required drivers. It is better with your mobile devices like android phones & tablets. Again once you set it up for first time, you can print easily every time. Although android does not have AirPrint, but Cloud Print also works.

If you bought your printer recently may be in the last couple of years, Your printer might be already ePrint or WiFi enabled. You can probably print to it wirelessly without having your computer turned on.

How to print from android like Nexus 7/Galaxy S2 etc via WiFi
If you have WiFi Printer, It is as easy as installing android app by your printer manufacturer. You can download HP ePrint, Samsung, Epson, Canon, Brother, Kodak android apps from Google Play Store depending on your Printer. You can also below Google Cloud Print option with these printers.

Most of these android print apps support printing documents like word doc, pdf, photos, text files, emails, attachments, Google Drive, Dropbox files etc.

For old or classic printers that needs to be connected to a computer to print, You need to use Google Cloud Print. You need to have computer running with Chrome browser. Printer needs to be connected to computer & turned on. You can follow instructions on Google Cloud Print page to set it up. Make sure to “Signin to Chrome” also. You need to use below Cloud Print apps.

Android Apps for Google Cloud Print
1. Cloud Print: This is free android app. You can download it Google Play Store. You can print to shared local Printers or Wireless printers.
It supports pdf, jpg, docx, doc, txt etc.

2. EasyPrint: This is also a free app. You can have more than one Google cloud print account added to it. You can select a one of the listed printers and print documents.

These android apps works most android phones including Galaxy Nexus, S2, S3, HTC, Droid Razr etc and android tablets like Nexus 7, Samsung Tab, Galaxy Note 10.1, Asus Transformer Pad etc.

I don’t want to use Google Cloud Print or I want to use USB/Bluetooth
If you don’t like Google Cloud Print or your printer manufacturer does not have a good android app for your printer or you want to use USB/Bluetooth printing, You can use PrinterShare Premium. It costs $14. You can try free version before buying.

If you have a business or you print lot of documents, That app is worth it. It works with old printer also. You need to have PrinterShare desktop app installed on your computer. You can follow instructions here. You don’t need to install anything on your computer if you have WiFi printer.

Buying Wireless Printer
