How to Print Sscreen on a Mac with Windows

In order to take a screenshot of your desktop or the current window pane on a Mac with Windows installed, the keyboard shortcut is F14. You can find this key just above the keys ‘home’, ‘page up’ etc., above the arrow keys on the apple keyboard.
I found other suggestions on the web for this issue like using Shift-
-3 or Shift--4 or by using the on-screen keyboard: Programs>>Accessories >> accessibility >> onscreen keyboard
click the ctrl and psc, then normal paste. But, I figured the above mentioned keyboard shortcut is the easiest way to do a print screen.
You might want to go through other third party software like WinSnap or MwSnap to take a screenshot with some useful control options.

Here is a quick and easy way to create Twitter status screenshots from the address bar in your browser.
In order to get the direct link to a Twitter status message, as some of you might be aware of: click on the time stamp just below any message on Twitter to get the direct link of a specific status message.
Now, in order to grab a quick screenshot of a status message on Twitter, just replace twitter.com in the link (URL) in your address bar with chen.vc so for instance:
http://twitter.com/google/status/16263198623
would become
http://chen.vc/google/status/16263198623
With this intriguing trick, in a quick step, a twitter status message can be changed to a screenshot as in the following image. As this trick is independent of the browser, it is quite handy to take a screenshot of Twitter status messages in no time.

How to Remove esnips Toolbar and Search Engine

15 Jun 2010Update: If you are still having problems with esnips toolbar or esnips search engine after trying below things, you can install another toolbar like Yahoo Toolbar or Ask Toolbar and uninstall it again. This may solve your problem. Thanks to Unus for this suggestion in the comments.
Esnips is one of the popular file sharing services available on the web. In order to download files from esnips, you need to download the ‘esnips downloader‘ software. This software by default changes the default search engine in all your web browsers (Firefox, Chrome etc.,) which is annoying and it slows down your system performance.
In order to completely remove the esnips software and toolbar, you can un-install the esnips download software from your system control panel. And, in un-install the ‘esnips downloader extension‘ if you are using Mozilla Firefox. Read the rest of this entry »
