7 Jun 2010In Windows, the date, time, numbers as well as currency are displayed in an International format. However, you can customize it according to the format used in your country. Here’s a small tutorial that can help you achieve just that.
Locating the Date, Time and Currency Settings
Basically, the date, time and currency format settings are located in the Control Panel. There are 2 ways to go about this.
OpenĀ Control Panel from the Start Menu and goto ‘Clock, Language and Region’. There click on ‘Region and Language’.
OR
In the Start Menu search box, search for the ‘region’ and click on ‘Region and Language’ in the search results.

Google Reader is a web based feed reader that enables you to read Atom or RSS feeds of your favorite websites. Not only does it enable you to read feeds, but also allows you to share those feeds to different social media sites. This can be done easily by modifying the reader settings.
Google Reader provides you a list of social media sites to select from. But, if the site you want is not listed, it enables you to create a custom link. This method can be used to directly download articles from Google Reader to your computer in PDF format. Google gadgets can be handy on your desktop. For instance, to automatically get notifications about new emails in your Gmail inbox, to quickly add events to your Google calender and to mange your documents on Google Docs.
You might have to navigate through multiple tabs in your browser to keep track of your unread emails and manage your schedule, to-dos and more. Google gadgets make it easy for you to manage your email, calender, weather updates etc., with a nice and elegant dockable sidebar on your desktop.
With a keyboard shortcut, you can auto-hide the sidebar to focus on your active windows. For Ubuntu, you can quickly install Google gadgets by running the command below in your terminal:
sudo apt-get install google-gadgets

Google Buzz enables you to connect to other sites like Twitter, Flickr etc., and import your stuff. Buzz also recommends you interesting posts and enables you to skip other non-interesting stuff. Right from your mobile, you can go through buzz and tag posts with your location.
Tweet your Buzz enables you to link Google Buzz to your Twitter account. It allows you to make your buzz automatically be sent to Twitter and will include a link back to your buzz.
