MahTweets is a complete social networking client using which you can get updates from Twitter, Facebook and other microblogging services from one place. This is all possible because MahTweets is built on .Net Framework using plugin architecture. It is very easy to use and also allows you to do multiple uploading to sites like Twitpic, Flickr, Yfrog, etc. It can also display inline pictures from Flickr, Twitpic and other URLs in the client itself.

Using the plugin architecture MahTweets allows you to manage your Facebook and Twitter accounts together. MahTweets comes with preinstalled plugins to expand its functionality you can also install your own plugins to the client or install other community developed plugins.

It provides other useful features which you do not find in Twitter or Facebook. As a microbloging service Twitter only allow you to post messages up to 140 characters. If you want to post messages that are more than 140 characters you will have to split message manually and post them in multiple tweets. Tweet Splitting function of MahTweets will take care of long messages and split them automatically and post making your task easier.

You can see Inline Pictures in this client when someone has send you a link of an image uploaded at Flickr or Twitpic. Also expands short URL in the messages so you can know what you are clicking. Currently it supports bit.ly, tinyurl.com, ff.im, twurl.nl, is.gd and tr.im. It can also automatically shorten URLs in your messages.

Filtering is one another interesting feature in MahTweets. You can set filters to block messages from view. With a right click on a hashtag you can either select to view those messages or block them. It is very easy to set and remove filters in this client.

You might be uploading many pictures to sites like Flickr, Yfrog, Twitpic or Twitgoo. But they ask for your Twitter username and password. If you do not like to give out your Twitter credentials to any third party sites using MahTweets you can do this peacefully. It also supports multiple uploading to make your life easy so you can upload many images at once.

Did I mention MahTweets also got support for your Web cam so you can take snapshots? As this application is still in beta stage you may experience some bugs while you use. Report these bugs to the developers to help them optimize features and fix bugs in upcoming versions.

Also the footprint of this application is very large with about 80 MB. Depending on your usage and settings it also utilizes high system resources. Developers have to concentrate on a way to decrease its size while keeping and increasing its features.
