ubuntuIf you are using Ubuntu (to make sense of Linux, or just because you like it, one thing you often wished was the ability to have some variety with its fonts. Here is a quick look at some of the ways in which you can have a variety of fonts in Ubuntu.

For Windows fonts: open your terminal and enter the following code:

sudo apt-get install ttf-mscorefonts-installer

For Red Hat Liberation fonts: open the terminal and key in the following command line:

sudo apt-get install ttf-liberation

For other fonts, follow the following options:

Open Nautilus, Use Ctrl+L, type in fonts://<Enter>. Then enter the following root nautilus code ,

gksudo nautilus

You will then also need the following script from a terminal window.Be careful about renaming the files (ttf and TTF) since Linux is case sensitive. If you don’t rename the scripts you need to run this twice.
