StarBurn is  free software that allows you to copy data from your computer to any optical storage devices. All you have to do is insert an empty disk into the recorder, using StarBurn select files and folders that you want to copy on to the disc. There are many other features associated with StarBurn. It is the best tool to use for grabbing, burning and mastering optical storage devices.

You can select individual option for performing a certain task there are multiple options available that we perform usually and that are essential. Using this software you can burn CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, BD-R/RE, HD-DVD-R/RW and even double/dual layer DVD-R.

After you have downloaded and installed the application, you need to restart the computer to launch the application.

General process to Burn optical discs using StarBurn:

1) Open StarBurn application; in the main window of StarBurn, you can select one of the actions that you want to perform from the Action sidebar that is present towards right hand side.

2) According to your selection a Burner Wizard dialog box appears on the screen, insert an empty disc into the recorder and press Next button to continue.

3) Select the burning device that you have just inserted empty disc and press Next button.

4) In this step, you can add  files and folders that you want to copy on to the disc. You can remove any files from this folder if you do not want to copy that on to the disc, files are not yet copied on to the disc. After you have finished adding files Click on Next to continue.

5) In this step, select the burning speed. Burning speed depends on the disc you use for copying and the recording device also. And click Next to view the options summary that you have selected. You can change the options if you want by clicking Back button. If you are satisfied with the options click NEXT to proceed.

6) Burning process starts burning files on to the disk. You can see the progress of the process as the files are being copied on to the disc. After the burning process is completed disc is ejected automatically. In the dialog box, you can save the log file for further reference and click Next.

7) With this burning process is completed to exit the wizard press Finish.

There are number of other options available like Audio Grabbing, Audio Compressor, Video CD and Super Video CD, DVD Video, Data Burner, Image Burner, UDF Image Mastering, Image Grabbing, and  Disc Eraser. You can use any of the options and follow onscreen instructions, and finish the work it is that easy. You can create audio CD that you can play in your car or other audio devices. You can create video DVD or CD form dual/double layer DVDs and vice verse. You can burn and save .ISO files using this software. StarBurn is a user-friendly application.

Burn4Free is a free CD/DVD burner. Using this application, you can easily burn CDs and DVDs but not all the optical storage devices. It supports multi languages  you can change the layout and select colors. It is compatible with many recording devices.

ImgBurn this is also a free application and very easy to use. It gives all the basic functions that are needed to burn files on to the disc. Using this application, you can write variety of DVD/CD images like BIN, IMG, ISO, etc., formats. It allows you to burn double layer images on DVD.
