If you use couple of browsers, video players installed on your android phone or tablet, You may want to change default browser, video player some times. It is easy to change default launch app on android device.
Android asks you to select the default launch app you want to use If you have multiple apps installed for any action. If you have Dolphin Browser, Firefox Browser, pre installed Chrome Browser on your android device, If you try to open any links, It asks you to select the browser you want to use. You can select any browser and make it default for any future actions. For example, for playing videos, It displays all available video players or renderers.
Android asks this every time until you select “Use by default for this action”. If you already selected default app, You need to clear default launch app settings in the Application Settings.
How to change default launch app on Galaxy S3, S4, Nexus 7 etc
1. Go to Settings > Applications > All > Select the app you want to clear default for > You will see App Info screen.
2. Scroll down to see “Launch by default” section. If the app is set to open by default any actions, “Clear Defaults” options is enabled. Tap on it to clear the default app settings.
For example: If MX Player app is default for playing videos on your android device, Go to Settings > Applications > MX Player > Clear default. If you launch any video now, It will ask you to select default video player app.
