The interface of the site is very simple and you can create an account for free in just under a minute. Click on the ‘Sign Up’ tab to create your own Card.ly account there are only four fields to fill and you are ready with your account. After setting up an account you can fill your profile to complete creating your online business card in just 6 simple steps.

Step 1: Social Networks

In the first step you will be asked to add your social networks all that you have to do is select the network from the drop down menu and enter your username in the box and click on check URL. Your URL for the select network will be displayed under and then click on the “+” to save your social websites.  All your web sites will be seen under socialize page you can reorder the sites just by dragging them to their new position.

Step 2: Personal details

In this step you will be asked to fill about your personal details like you name, birthday, etc., you can also select an avatar. In this step you can easily share your Card.ly URL on Twitter. All that you have to do is just enter your Twitter username and password and hit submit button. Your message will be posted in your Twitter account such that all your followers can view your profile by click on the link in the message.

Step 5: Embed

In this step you can get the HTML and BBCode for your card.ly profile. After you have done with all these click on the My Profile tab at the top and see how your profile look like. In this people can see all your personal and professional details that you have entered and in the contact page they can also download a vCard easily by clicking on the download vCard link.

The first page of your profile will be the About page where people can read about yourself and see the avatar your have selected.

The second page will be the My networks in this page people can all your social networks. When a user clicks on any of your network they will be redirected to your profile page of that network.

The third page will be your Contacts page where in people can see your Name and contact address and instant messenger’s ID. Any person can download your vCard from this page by clicking on the download vCard link.

The forth and the final page will be Stream where in users can see your latest posts through RSS Feed.
