Android app to block Websites on android phone or tablet like Nexus 7, Galaxy S4


You may want to block websites on your android phone or tablet as You don’t want your kids to access inappropriate content like violence, drugs or pornography etc. Yes there is an android app for that.

You don’t need to configure anything on your devices. Your router takes care of the settings and does not allow access to blocked websites.

If you just want to block websites on individual devices like android phones or tablets, You can use Kaspersky Parental Control android app. You don’t need to change router settings for this. Other devices in your home can still access blocked websites.

How to block websites on android browser for Galaxy S4, S3, Nexus 7, Moto X etc

1. Download & Install Kaspersky Parental Control android app for free from Google Play Store.

2. Open the downloaded app to configure it. Select the website categories you want to block. It selects inappropriate categories by default. You can add or remove categories.

3. You can also block apps. You can select the apps you want to allow on your android device. Standard android apps like Phone etc are allowed by default. You can add allowed apps to the list.

4. Next, You need set default browser for surfing the web. This selected web browser is only allowed. All other browsers are blocked by default to avoid accessing blocked websites. You also need to allow device administrator permission of this app so that It can not be uninstalled by your kids.

Thats it. If you go to blocked websites, You will see error message. You can exclude any individual websites If you need to.
